Charbonnel Cocker Spaniels

My first judging appointment was in 1982, when I judged cockers for the first time at an Open show, and many appointments followed, all in gundogs. In 1992 I awarded C.C's in cockers for the first time, and since then I have judged at championship shows here and overseas. As I am interested in other gundog breeds and hounds I judge all those breeds at Open show level. Because of my interest in other breeds, and my lust for knowledge of all dog breeds, I regularly attend seminars, preferably breed specific, to further this knowledge. When asked, I have also undertaken to talk at seminars about cockers, the breed standard and judging. .

My love of dogs has opened the world to me, and I have them to thank for giving me the opportunity of meeting many new friends overseas when invited to judge.

Since 1987 I have visited Austria, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Ireland, Moscow, Norway, Spain, Sweden, and the USA, in this capacity, and I have had the honour of judging some of the finest cockers in the world.
