Well,it's been a long winter and having missed Crufts with the hounds due to my illness,the Hound Association of Scotland was the first show of the year for the hounds - Fliss,my deerhound,and Frilly,the beagle.
Thanks to some very helpful friends, I am pleased to say that Frilly won her class and qualified for Crufts 2013 under Mrs.L.Powell,and Fliss excelled herself by winning her second CC under the world-reknowned hound specialist Mr Espen Engh of Jets greyhound fame,and then going on to win BoB,followed by Reserve Best in Show under Mrs.Jean Blandford,whose Flaunden deerhounds I have very much admired since I bought my first deerhound in 1993....what an accolade !! To say I was 'proud as punch' is a HUGE understatement !!
The photo shows Fliss at the Houndshow last year - I am awaiting photos from the show ........
